I don't know a bride that hasn't saved their wedding invitation. It becomes a forever keepsake of the big day. I tucked mine away safely in an album that contained photos of my wedding and placed my album in a box to keep safely in my closet. Ha! It has been 12 years since my husband passed away and yet I still kept those memories in my closet. I probably will always keep it. I have no idea why I chose to hide it but that is certainly what it seems I had done. Recently I dug it out of the closet and embellished it using my wedding colors and it now hangs proudly on my bedroom wall. It makes me smile every time I look at it and warms my heart a bit by thinking of that very special day; although many years ago.
That brings me to the point of this blog. I encourage you, as a bride to consider having your invitation embellished and hung on your wall. I have had many mothers of the bride place orders for my wedding keepsakes for either their daughter or future daughter-in-law as a gift idea. It has been without fail, one of the most treasured of all gifts received. Honestly, I am not saying that because I make them but because that is what I hear so often from my customers.
It is easy to place an order; as a bride you could add it to your registry by listing my website at www.paperiefiligree.com or simply whisper to a parent, grandparent or bridesmaid your wish to have one.... chances are you will be unwrapping it at your bridal shower or the morning of your wedding.
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding - I wish you lots of love and happiness.
